VECTOR
The Pipercross Vector filter is a higher performance filter. The unit
flows more air due to it's unique inlet design. The inverted cone
directs the air straight into the 150mm full radius rampipe base.
This action reduces turbulence in the centre of the filter unit,
allowing the air to move faster and more efficiently into the engines
inlet. This will normally produce 1-3bhp more than a standard flat
end-cap filter.

VIPER
The technology used in the Viper was first seen on the Lotus 340R, but
now Pipercross are making it available for an extensive range of road
and also universal applications. The Viper uses 'velocity air force' to
direct cold air directly into the engine. The cold air feed takes air
from behind the grill straight into the Viper's 100mm inlet, swirling it
through a unique Pipercross reverse flow filter contained within a
carbon fibre heat shield, and then into a ram pipe to increase the
pressure before feeding it into the induction system. The carbon fibre
heat shield protects the charge from under bonnet heat keeping it cool
and therefore more dense thus introducing more oxygen into the
combustion chamber, giving increased power,
The reverse flow technology filter and 150mm ram pipe make use of
the physical phenomenon of air moving faster on the outside of a
bend, so when teh air is being sucked around the full radius the air
gets accelerated down the centre of the inlet.
